The 2025 swim-a-thon was a HUGE success, and our Gliders swam 6339 laps, which is the equivalent of 90 miles! Great job, Gliders! Swim Meet #5

We are so grateful to our community for helping meets run smoother by volunteering. We ask for families to sign up for 4 volunteer slots through the swim season to help our season run smoothly. • Stroke & Turns: 1 for 2nd shift

Pool location 6200 W Club Ln, Richmond, VA 23226 The pool entrance faces Pollard Rd., but do not park on this road. Parking spaces at Westwood are limited, so we recommend that you park along West Club Ln. and nearby roads. Beware of “No Parking" zones. Your car will get towed.

6:00 Anthem and start of meet

Please note that Westwood does not run swimmers ages 13+ through the clerk of course. They are expected to be in place behind the blocks at the time of their race. Heat sheets will be posted behind the blocks so swimmers can find their lanes. Leigh Anne and Nicole will be on hand to help guide swimmers, but please make sure your older swimmers know that they will need to pay attention or they could miss their event.

Guest Team Seating: Visiting team seating is located at the near end of the pool (closest to the pool entrance). There are a limited number of chairs, so your families will want to bring extra chairs and towels/blankets for seating.

Food: Dining services will provide an a la carte cookout for the swimmers and families during the meet. The cookout will be located on the outdoor terrace. The terrace can be easily accessed from the pool deck. The snack bar will not be open. Credit cards will be the accepted form of payment. Additionally, Kona Ice will be at Westwood for the duration of the swim meet.

Safety Reminders:Please stay off of the Pickleball and tennis courts and out of the Family Pool. Additionally, swimmers should stay off of the sun shelf and out of the diving well throughout the duration of the dual meet.

Glider Scholarship Application - To apply for a scholarship, graduating senior swimmers should fill out this form to be considered. Forms are due by July 9th

We’re so grateful to all our sponsors who made the season 2025 t-shirts possible! These t-shirts were handed out at the Swim-a-Thon. If you didn’t receive yours, no worries - just let the coaches, Leigh Anne, or Nicole know, and they’ll make sure you get one.

Unclaimed Ribbons

We still have quite a few unclaimed ribbons! If your swimmer earned ribbons based on the results shared by the coaches but wasn’t able to attend fun practice to pick them up, please let the coaches know at your next practice. They’ll be happy to make sure your swimmer receives their well-deserved ribbons.
