Good evening Gliders! 

Thanks for your patience with tonight's meet. We will be concluding the meet on Wednesday evening with the remaining butterfly events only. We will not be swimming the relays. Volunteers for the 2nd half will not be requested to come to the make-up.

Swimmers of the Week

Congrats to our swimmers of the week: Grayson Dalton (9) and Skylar Schuetze (17)!

Grayson is new to the Glider team this year and has been a fantastic addition! He works so hard, qualifying for Champs already (and breaking his own personal record tonight!). He brings his big smile and good attitude to practice every day. 

Skylar has volunteered every morning this season helping out with the 8 and unders. She also is always willing to ask a coach for ways to improve her swimming. Her team spirit is evident in the Glider instagram account (@ga_gliders), which she volunteered to run this year. 

Record Breakers

Congrats also to James Edwards and Coach Judson Lifsey on their record-breaking swims tonight!

Coach Judson started us off by setting a new Gliders record in the 15-18 Men's 50 meter freestyle with a time of 25.50 (unofficial) breaking the previous record from 2017!

James followed that up with a record time in the 13-14 Boy's 50 Breaststroke with a fast 36.08 breaking a 9 year old record!

Fun Practice

Even though the meet is not yet official, we will still have fun practice in Wednesday morning. No ribbons this week, they will be given out next week, No practice tomorrow (Happy 4th of July!)
