Meet 3 - @ Three Chopt
Our third meet is Monday evening!
Time: Monday, June 27th - 6:30 pm start, with check in beginning at 5:30, team meeting at 5:50 and warmups at 6:00. We are visiting Three Chopt. See below for some key information about the meet and at the bottom for some information from Three Chopt.
Please note the times - they are back to our usual 6:30 meet start time. Keep in mind that Three Chopt is an 8 lane pool, so hopefully that means the meet will go a little quicker than last week.
Meet Entries
Meet entries were sent out yesterday, however as usual, they may change. Please verify your swimmer’s events when you arrive for check-in.
Volunteers:
We still have some volunteer positions open for this meet. Please let us know if you are able to fill one of these spots!
- (4) 2nd half timer
- (1) Verifier - needs to work the entire meet validating the results with the other team
Practice Schedule:
Monday morning we have practice as usual.
Tuesday morning is our 2nd fun practice of the year - pancakes and games! I could use some help with pancakes during the first part of the early practice. Practice starts at 9:15 for 10 and unders.

Welcome Glen Allen Gliders! We are looking forward to hosting you at Three Chopt on Monday,
June 27, 2022. Our pool is located at 2100 Skipwith Road.
We have parking within our pool grounds, as well as up the street at Skipwith Elementary School. Feel free to park right on Skipwith Road, facing Parham Road. Please take caution when crossing the street. A police officer will be there to assist, if needed. When you enter our pool, please turn left, and you will have the left side of the pool for seating, as well as our baby pool area. Warm-ups for your team will begin at 6:00 PM.Our Clerk of Course is located on the upper deck, near our diving boards. Please have your swimmers hang out around the step area and wait patiently as their names are called to be seated in their heat. Our results board will be located next to our front desk.
The concession stand will be open and provide a host of yummy treats, and we will have our “Buns Up Grill” selling burgers and hot dogs. Also, Kona Ice will be on-site. Finally, a bake sale table, located by the pool office will sell bags of goodies for $1.00.To add to the fun, we will hold a 50/50 raffle… one of our parents will be walking around selling tickets. This could be your lucky night! It's $1 per chance or $5 for 6 chances!
Also, if you have a birthday on your team or a special announcement, our announcer would love to let everyone know. He is located at the top of our slides.
Lastly, our pool weather policy states if thunder is heard or lightning seen, the pool must be vacated in a timely fashion. Families need to wait in their cars for at least a half hour from the last sound of thunder or last sight of lightning until notified that the meet will resume.
