Sorry for the multiple emails this weekend. Meet 6 is fast approaching and I still need 1 first half timer and 4 2nd half timers.  Please volunteer if you are able!!

Champs Information

The following information is for families of swimmers that qualify and are attending Champs. While we haven't finalized entries yet, there are a few things that are very time sensitive for everyone to be aware of:

1. Champs T-shirts, raffle tickets, heat sheets and ads for heat sheets are all available for purchase now online at http://www.jracsummerswim.org/store/c2/JRAC_Summer_Swim_Store.html.

Each of these have different deadlines, particularly the shirt (which is Wednesday at 2PM.  Sales of these items support the JRAC scholarship which has been awarded to multiple Gliders over the past years, including both Coach Kelly and Coach Maddie S. Please support these sales.  Heat sheets are a great souvenir from Champs, and there will be a limited number printed, so they may not have many for sale at the actual meet.

The heat sheet ad (which is both for business as well as personal ads (Go Gliders, etc.) are due bu the end of the week. I've attached a form for those as well.

2. Champs volunteers - Each team provides volunteers to help run the meet.  We have been assigned 7 slots to fill. They are swim session specific, so if you're swimmer is in Session 1, then there is a session 1 volunteer position. Note all volunteer positions are designed that you can leave to see your swimmer in their event.

They are also in desperate need of Strokes and Turns officials. USA Swimming or JRAC certified officials.

3.  Seeding Meeting

Finally, we are looking for a parent to represent the Gliders at the seeding meeting on Friday evening.  This is during our banquet (unfortunate timing), so if you are not going to banquet and would be able to represent GA, please let Mark or Kristie know. This person will work with another team to validate entries into Champs. Its a fun night, and easily trained. Definitely not a difficult job. It would be from 6-9 pm or so at Westwood.
