My apologies for all of the emails today, but I need to get a lot of information out to the team at the beginning of the year.

Practice Times
We continue to look at the number of swimmers per practice time to evaluate how we can most effectively get the right number of swimmers per Lane. After today’s practice sessions, we’d like to make an additional tweak to the practice times for the next two weeks.

Starting on Wednesday, June 2nd, we’d like to extend practice times to allow for fewer swimmers per lanes. The new practice times are:

8 and under: 4:00-4:30 pm
9-10: 4:30-5:15 pm
11-12: 5:15-6:00 pm
13-18: 6:00-7:00 pm

Invoices
All families have been invoiced for SwimTeam at this point. Please check your email for the invoice. If you do not see an invoice, please let Mark know.

Mock Meet
One of the things that we are trying this year is a mock meet for swimmers and families to understand how the meets work, get a chance to swim for time and practice the start of an event or two. We plan on doing this on Saturday, June 5 at 8am at the pool.

In order to set up the meet ahead of time, we are asking parents to complete the following Google Form to let us know if your swimmer will participate or not:

We will need some parents to help time the heats, so if you are able, please let us know that as well. Finally, we plan on having a parent meeting for new parents at the mock meet.

Team suits and caps
For those that ordered a team suit at registration day back in April, the suits have arrived. We hope to have them at practices and the mock meet.

For those that were unable to preorder the suit, we apologize for the short order window, but our supplier needed significant lead-time this year. As many of you know, we do not require a swimmer to wear the team suit, so any "Speedo" like suit will work. If possible, try and get a black or black/gold suit. The Virginia Swim Shop at NOVA or Disco Sports are great places to find suits and get the correct size.

Swim caps are on order and we will be providing a new cap to every swimmer. These will be a bit different from previous years, and if you ordered one during registration, you were not charged since we changed the caps.
