Wow, wow, and wow! What an amazing day for the Glen Allen Gliders! Congratulations to all those that swam at JRAC Champs! We came home with the 6th place trophy (643 points) and the Blue Division Sportsmanship award. Both are major accomplishments! 

Some highlights of the day:

Maddie Pierce broke the JRAC record in Senior Girls 50 Meter Backstroke with a time of 29.04 AND the JRAC record in 50 Meter Butterfly with a time of 28.28. Way to go, Coach! 

We also had some team records broken! 

Brady Bever broke a ten-year-old record in the Junior Girls 50 M Freestyle with a time of 29.97!

Courtney Carter broke the Intermediate Girls 50 M Breaststroke record with a time of 37.87! 

The Intermediate Mixed Freestyle Relay of William Edwards, Courtney Carter, Lindsey Johnson, and Gavin Widener broke a five-year-old record with a time of 1:57.25. 

Claire Evko lowered her own record in Senior Girls 50 M Breaststroke to 37.29. Good luck at University of Lynchburg!

Maddie Pierce broke her own records in all of her individual events, Senior Girls 100 M IM (1:05.78), 50 M Back (29.04), 50 M Free (27.30), and 50 M Fly (28.28). 

Colin Clements broke his own records in Senior Boys 50 M Backstroke with a time of 27.02 and in 50 M Fly with a time of 26.77. Good luck at William and Mary! 

Time was dropped around the board, and it was a great way to end the season. It looks like we will be in the Red division next summer!
