    Gliders -

Our first home meet is upon us and we couldn’t be more excited!
Please keep reading for lots of good info. about our meet!

    Volunteers:

Since this is a home meet, we have significantly more jobs to fill.  Please remember that each family needs to volunteer for 4 volunteer slots throughout the season.  If you haven't signed up for your 4, please volunteer for some of the following roles:

    (1) Assistant Head Timer - needed for the full meet - helps head timer manage all the timers
    (2) 1st half runners - you don't actually need to be a runner - this job moves paper from timers/referees to the head table

    (1) 2nd half runner
    (2) 2nd half timers
    (1) 1st half caller - calls out swimmers names at the clerk of course and seat them on the benches in the correct order
    (2) 2nd half callers

I'm also looking for 3 people that would like to learn to work the Head Table - These are needed for future years as we have a lot of retiring volunteers - we can start training you Monday or any of the other home meets.  let me know if you'd be open to doing this!

Remember that Tuesday morning fun practice has been moved to Tuesday evening along with team and individual pictures.  Pictures start at 5:15, with a team picture at 5:45.  Remember to wear your glider suit!

    Heat Sheets

We are considering printing extra heat sheets and selling them to raise additional money for the Glider scholarship fund.  It will be a meet time decision to see if we can print copies in time.  We will only print a limited amount (likely not more that 20, and we will be selling them for $3 and based on pre-orders only.  If interested, respond to this email, and it's first come.  The heat sheets will also contain the Glider records and the Champs qualifying standards.  For those that don't know, heat sheets include all swimmers with their lane and heat included. JRAC changed the seeding process this year, so that this is possible.
